The Glenlyon Gourmet is a free to use information website which was developed by Allan & Kyra Ritchie for the benefit of all food lovers.
Originally based in Glen Lyon, the longest and one of the most beautiful Glens in Scotland, they recognised the wealth of natural food resources Scotland has to offer, from natural
Wild Venison, grass fed
Scottish Beef and
Lamb to
Scottish Salmon.
Having been in the food business for some time, the website was born out of their own passion for high quality, local and traceable foods. Spending years discovering little known, small Artisan food producers, they decided to share their wealth of information, knowledge of food producers and little known recipes with anyone who enjoys real food and real cooking!
Working closely with two of Scotland’s acclaimed Chefs, Darin Campbell and Craig Mellor, they have developed many recipes which have impressed food critics, such as Richard Bath, 'Scotland On Sunday' and Tony Borthwick, Michelin-starred chef, The Plumed Horse, Edinburgh. Kathryn Hawkins, an award winning food stylist also assisted in the development of recipes to share with you, simply for the love of good food!
Having exhibited at National and International Food Shows, such as the BBC Good Food Show, Channel 4 Taste, Olympia etc, Allan & Kyra have met with hundreds of people who share their passion for quality, taste and the ethics behind British food producers.
